Couples Intensive
Two-day online intensives for partners in New York City and the San Francisco Bay Area.
A concentrated format for couples who need more than an hour a week. Twelve hours of focused work across two consecutive days, online, built to interrupt a stuck pattern and leave you with a clear way forward.
When weekly isn't enough
Some situations don't fit a weekly rhythm: a recent disclosure, a decision you can't keep postponing, or a pattern that resets before the next session. An intensive gives the work room to go deeper without losing the thread between meetings.
Built for a turning point
Two days is long enough to understand the cycle you're caught in, say what has gone unsaid, and practice a different way of reaching each other — and short enough that you leave with momentum rather than a waiting list.
How the two days unfold
Prepare
We begin with a free consultation to confirm the format fits, then each of you completes a short pre-work questionnaire so the two days start with the real material.
Two days of focused work
Six hours each day with structured breaks. We map the pattern, work through the moments that hurt most, and rehearse new ways of turning toward each other while they are fresh.
Follow through
You leave with a written summary and a plan. A follow-up session a few weeks later checks what has held and adjusts what hasn't.

Frequently asked questions
How much does a couples intensive cost?
US$3,500 for couples in the US and 35,000 NOK in Norway. That includes the consultation and preparation, both days, a written summary and a follow-up session a few weeks later.
How long is a couples intensive?
Two consecutive days, six hours a day with breaks: twelve hours in total, online. It covers ground that would take months of weekly sessions.
Is a couples intensive worth it?
For couples in crisis, couples whose calendars defeat weekly sessions, and couples whose weekly therapy has stalled, often yes. It is not the right first step if one partner is unwilling, if there is violence or active substance misuse, or if an affair is still ongoing. Intensive vs weekly couples therapy →
